Translated hundreds of songs by renowned singer-songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, Bruce Springsteen and others. His translation of The Book of Longing (“Księga tęsknoty”), the latest book of poetry by Leonard Cohen, was published in Poland in 2006 and 2013. His translations of selected songs from Janis Joplin’s repertoire were used in the stage production of “Moja mama Janis” (My mother Janis) in 2005 (new production opened at Nova Scena in January 2010). From 1995 to 2000 he prepared numerous translations for television of feature films, documentaries and musicals such as The Sound of Music, Yellow Submarine and Ned Kelly. He translates Polish songs into English for artists who perform abroad. In 2004 the film Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera was shown in Poland’s movie theatres in his translation. He is the author of a popular biography book, “Satysfakcja – The Rolling Stones” (5 editions, the latest one updated for the 50. Anniversary of the band in 2013) and the editor of numerous record editions, specializing in Polish popular music archives. His edition of complete recordings of Marek Grechuta (15 CD, “Świecie nasz”) was awarded with Fryderyk 2001 for “the Best Reissue”. He’s been a music columnist (record reviews) and an interviewer of a Polish lifestyle magazine ZWIERCIADŁO (2003-2013). Daniel Wyszogrodzki has received many Gold and Platinum albums both as a translator and a songwriter. A songwriter in his own right, he wrote many songs for popular Polish artists – including a number one hit Mój przyjacielu for the international project by  BREGOVIC & KRAWCZYK (BMG, 2001)

His music theater projects include translations of
Cats (“Koty”, 2004), Dance Of The Vampires (“Taniec wampirów”, 2005) and writing original songs lyrics for the musical "Akademia pana Klexa" (The Academy of Mr. Klex - Teatr ROMA, 2007). He translated The Phantom of the Opera (“Upiór w operze”) for the March 2008 premiere in the Roma Theater. Also recently he prepared the translations of two musicals, Oliver! ("Oliver!") and The Producers ("Producenci")for Teatr Rozrywki in Chorzów (2009). World-famous children opera Brundibar premiered in Teatr Wielki in Poznań in his adaptation of the text by Tony Kushner (2009). The all-time favourite musical Les Misérables premiered in ROMA Theater in September 2010 with his translation of the lyrics. The new play You Are My Sister ("Jesteś moją siostrą") opened in October 2011 on the alternative stage Nova Scena consisting entirely of his translations of the songs by Antony and the Johnsons. The latest theatrical productions with Daniel Wyszogrodzki's translation include the musical Aladdin Jr. presented as a part of "Disney's Young Theater" series by ROMA Musical Theater (2011), Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd in Teatr Rozrywki (2012) and Singin' In The Rain ("Deszczowa piosenka") in ROMA (2012). Recently he's completed work on another musical by his favorite Stephen Sondheim, Sunday in the Park with George ("Niedziela w parku z Georgem" - Teatr Rozrywki, November 2014) and on Polish version of the blockbuster musical hit Mamma Mia! with songs by ABBA (Teatr Muzyczny ROMA, February 2015). 

From March 2007 Daniel Wyszogrodzki has been appointed a Literary Director of the ROMA Musical Theater.
